Ingredients

Cream cheese layer
  • 16 oz cream cheese Soften to spreadable.
  • 1.5 oz ranch seasoning mix Use powdered mix for best seasoning.
  • 0.5 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Shred fresh or use pre-shredded.
Tortilla roll layer
  • 5 flour tortillas Large tortillas roll up easily.
  • 1 lb deli ham Thinly sliced for even layers.
  • 2 green onions Chopped small so they distribute.

Method

Make the ranch cheese filling
  1. Beat the softened cream cheese with ranch seasoning mix and shredded cheddar until smooth and evenly combined, with no dry pockets.
Assemble and roll
  1. Spread about one-fifth of the mixture evenly over each tortilla in a thin layer, leaving a small border at the edges so it seals cleanly.
  2. Layer deli ham slices and chopped green onions over the cream cheese mixture so the filling stays consistent across the surface.
  3. Roll each tortilla up tightly, pressing gently to seal the edges and keep the spirals tight.
Chill, slice, and serve
  1. Refrigerate the rolled pinwheels for 1 to 2 hours, until fully chilled and firm, so slices hold their shape.
  2. Slice the rolls into pinwheels and arrange on a platter to serve, showing the spiral inside.

Notes

Pro tip: tighten the roll as you go and chill until firm—this makes the slices neat instead of squished. Store covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days; freezing isn’t recommended because tortillas can soften after thawing. For a lower-sodium option, choose a reduced-sodium ranch seasoning mix and deli ham.
