Ingredients

Apples
  • 4 apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Helps prevent browning after slicing.
Sauces and toppings
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce
  • 0.25 cup chocolate sauce
  • 0.25 cup chopped peanuts
  • 0.25 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp toffee bits

Method

Prep the apples
  1. Toss the apple slices with the lemon juice to prevent browning, coating them evenly so they stay fresh-looking.
  2. Arrange the apple slices in an overlapping fan pattern on a large platter, leaving a little space between slices so the drizzle pools.
Drizzle and finish
  1. Drizzle the caramel sauce generously over the apples so it sinks slightly between slices for glossy coverage.
  2. Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the top to create ribbons across the caramel layer.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts, mini chocolate chips, and toffee bits to add crunchy texture and visible speckles.
Serve
  1. Serve immediately while the apples are fresh and crisp so the toppings stay crunchy and the apple slices don’t soften.

Notes

Pro tip: slice the apples right before serving so they stay crisp and don’t brown. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 1 day, but note the chips/toppings lose crunch. Freezing isn’t recommended. For a lighter option, use reduced-sugar caramel sauce and dark chocolate chips.
